Serenades and Sunsets: A Trip to Venice, Florence, Athens, Santorini & Crete

On the fourth day, we will provide a private car transfer to Venice’s train station, then you will enjoy a safe and comfortable train ride to Florence.

Upon arrival at the train station in Florence, we will transport you to your new hotel in town. Once you check in and get settled, we will then send you on a fantastic food and wine tour where you will discover authentic Florentine cuisine at restaurants in the neighborhood of Oltrarno, an area full of hidden treasures that most tourists never get to find (but you will!).

On day 5, you will take the ultimate art and history tour. You will visit the Galleria dell’Accademia, one of the world’s most famous museums where you will find Michaelangelo’s iconic David sculpture.

Later on, you will go inside the Uffizi Gallery and discover artistic treasures like Leonardo da Vinci’s Annunciation and Adoration of the Magi, along with Titian’s Venus of Urbino and Sandro Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus.

In addition, you will see local landmarks like the world-famous Duomo Cathedral, the Piazza della Repubblica, and the Leather Market.

For your sixth day, we will send you on an amazing day trip to explore more of Tuscany. You will meet your expert guide in Florence, then you will head to the picturesque wine country of Chianti, where you will visit two of the region’s top wineries and try 5 amazing local wines with light food pairings.

You will also have time to stop and stroll in the historic villages of Greve and Castellina, and you might even get to try some local gelato!

On day 7, you will have to say arrivederci (or goodbye) to Italy. But that’s only because you will soon say yassou (or hello) to Greece!

Once you check out of your hotel in Florence, we will transport you to your hotel, then you will catch your flight to Athens. Upon arriving in Athens, we will transport you to your hotel, and we’ll let you enjoy some time to rest or relax for the rest of the day.

The next morning, we will set you up with a friendly and knowledgeable local guide, then send you on our 'Best of Athens in One Day' tour.

You will head to the Acropolis, where your guide will share more of the history behind the mythology represented at the Acropolis’ monuments, including the Propylaea, the Temple of Nike, the Erechtheion, and the Parthenon.

You will later get to breathe some fresh air and spot hundreds of plant species at the National Gardens, see where the first modern Olympic Games were held at the Panathenaic Stadium, check out the epicenter of contemporary Greek democracy at Syntagma Square, and tour the stunningly beautiful Plaka neighborhood.

This tour will include all-day transportation in a luxury Mercedes minivan and expedited access to the Acropolis.

For day 9, you will be leaving Athens and heading to the iconic Aegean island of Santorini.

We will arrange a private transfer from your Athens hotel to the airport, where you will then catch a flight to Santorini. Once you arrive on this island, we will transport you to your new hotel on the island.

The following day, we will bring you along for our special tour of the island!

We will provide private luxury transportation, and you will head out to discover some of Santorini’s top attractions, including the archaeological site at the prehistoric village Akrotiri, the whitewashed houses of Oia, and the Prophet Elias Monastery on the hill that offers amazingly panoramic views.

For your final full day in Santorini, you will enjoy the ultimate sunset cruise on a beautiful catamaran.

You will enjoy a full Greek dinner on board (along with your choice of beer, white wine, and/or soft drinks), and they will have everything else you’ll need for your cruise, including swimming/snorkeling equipment and beach towels.

Whether you and your loved one want to spend the evening snorkeling in the incredible waters, soak in the sulfurous warm springs of the Santorini volcano, or simply sip some wine while taking in the gorgeous sunset on board the boat, this cruise makes for a fantastic date night.

For your eleventh day, we will pick you up at your hotel in Santorini and take you to the port, where you catch a ferry to the enchanted island of Crete. Upon your arrival at Heraklion, we will transport you to your new hotel in the village of Elounda.

On day 12, you will head back in time as you take an incredible journey on the island.

We will take you on a private guided tour with a licensed archaeologist guide, and you will head to the legendary Palace of Knossos, you will all learn the history behind the legends of Daedalus and Icarus, the labyrinth of the Minotaur, and the love story of Theseus and Ariadne that were all set here.

You will also visit the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion, where you will find astounding ancient artifacts like the Prince of the Lilies and the Phaistos Disc.

For your final full day in Greece, you can do whatever you want. Feel free to plan one final date to remember, or be spontaneous and let fate decide your last date night. Whatever you decide, you will have plenty of great options in Crete.

This two-week trip packs plenty of romantic excursions, and we hope you enjoy every moment of it.

Once it’s time to head home, we will provide one more private transfer to Crete’s airport, where you should have plenty of time to catch your flight.
