This was my first food tour. it was great! Max, our guide, took the time to give us a story behind the food, some insights about Athens that I even didn't know, even though I am Greek, and paced the night very well. What I really liked was the variety he chose for us going from contemporary to traditional and topping it off with a great wine tasting of awesome greek wines! I would do this tour again and again when I am hosting friends visiting Athens. Worth the time and nicely priced.
Max was A W E S O M E!!!! He was very knowledgeable about Greek culture and cuisine!! By the end of the tour, I fell more in love with Greece, the food and culture!!! Thinking about my next holiday for next year already
What a great way to spend our last evening in Athens! Our guide Penelope was superb, she really knew her stuff, she was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about her job. We had a fantastic time with our guide and the rest of the guys who joined us on the tour too. We learned loads about Greek history, traditions and we now know much more about Greek food than we did before the tour! By the end of the tour, it felt like we were a group of friends rather than just people who had known each other for 2 hours! Highly recommended.

This tour had more than we ever thought! Our guide Tiama was fantastic. Not only was the food she introduced us to amazing but we got mini lessons on Greek expressions, culture, and traditions. She told us interesting stories of her heritage and really seemed to care about everyone in the group. One of the most valuable things I came away with was an understanding of Athenian hotspots. If you’re new to Athens and have never been here before the sheer size can be very intimidating. But in between the different eateries and tavernas that she took us to we walked through some interesting and lovely neighborhoods. We specifically went back to those neighborhoods the next day and had a fantastic time exploring the places further. Even if you’re only here for a day this tour is a 100% must do. Hope that you get Tamia! She’s the best!
Our evening with Max was a delight! He took us to really interesting restaurants and gave us a really flavor for the culture. We had a really nice chat as we walked and he told us about the city and it’s people and places. It was the perfect first night in Athens as we got acclimated with the city and ate delicious food. Thank you Max!
My daughter and I decided to start our holiday off with this tour to get oriented and off the tourist path -- it worked beautifully! Penelope is fun and very knowledgeable, choosing a good variety of dishes and locales, with history and stories behind it all. The small group format was great, giving us the opportunity to share ideas and experiences with others at different stages of their holidays. A perfect kick-off to a very enjoyable holiday!
A wonderful experience for foodies! This tour introduced us to a new side of Greek cuisine, taking us off the beaten path to restaurants we never would have found on our own! Our tour guide Teiama was extremely knowledgeable, merging her knowledge of history with our culinary experience. It was a fun & upbeat night, highly recommend taking this tour with her! She even provided us with some recommendations at the end of the tour!
Our adult daughters, their partners, my wife and I greatly enjoyed this tour. We are giving it a unanimous 5! Eleni was an excellent guide. She is friendly, personable and really knows her facts about Athens and Greek food and drink. The two restaurants we visited gave us an opportunity to try many different Greek dishes family style. I would do this tour again!
