Private Greek Cooking Class with Trip to Market
Private Greek Cooking Class with Trip to Market

My friend and I booked the Greek cooking class it was amazing. We met Marina at the hotel lobby, as we stayed across from the market. She intoduced us to a small local lunch spot with barrel wine and showed us many reputable shops for cheese, olives, wine and meats we picked up the ingredients for lunch and then went to her flat to cook. The food was fresh and delicious. We had arranged the menu in advance, and she adapted to our taste as we wanted something diffrent. Highly recommend this tour.

Best Greek cooking class ever
Best Greek cooking class ever

After reading all the great reviews about Greeking.me on Trip Advisor- I decided to book my private Greek cooking class through them while on vacation in Athens. Nikos was so wonderful - helping me book my class --- helping design a menu that I would actually come home and cook again- attended to every detail- wanting it to be a great experience for me. Nikos set me up with Marina--- and WOW- what can I say? It was a wonderful day in the kitchen with Marina learning about Greek culture and customs.

She was so prepared- so organized- and so eager to share- as well as explain the cooking customs of Greece. This was definitely a highlight of my time in Athens. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has an interest in cooking. Nikos and Marina- you are the best! Thank you so much! Debi Schoen. New Orleans

Children's Greek Cooking Class!
Children's Greek Cooking Class!

This was a great experience for my seven-year-old daughter and me. We booked a private cooking class as it was low season and there weren't any group classes available. This turned out to be a great investment as it was the highlight of an overall wonderful trip to Athens. Marina met us at the market where we had a brief tour before heading to her apartment to cook. My daughter loves to cook, but is a picky eater. Greeking.me gave this information to Marina, who put a lot of thought into what we could prepare that my daughter would actually eat. We learned a lot about preparing Greek food, and my daughter was given a lot of tasks that she could execute at her skill level. Marina was great with my daughter and overall an excellent hostess. I highly recommend Marina and was quite pleased with the overall service from Greeking.me.

Wonderful Tour and Cooking Class
Wonderful Tour and Cooking Class

We had a wonderful tour and cooking class with Marina. The walk through the market area of Athens was so informative to both of us: one visitor and one resident in Athens. We not only discovered shops and hidden gems but learned many interesting things about the local foods and customs. Marina is very well informed and never rushed us. After the tour, we had a lovely cooking lesson and lunch. I would definitely recommend this tour to any visitors in Athens. Don't miss it!

Market tour and cooking class were outstanding!

My guide/cooking instructor Marina was excellent. She took me around the central market in Athens pointing out different culinary highlights (i.e. Where the best chefs in Athens buy their fish, where to buy great quality Greek herbs). Then we went to her lovely apartment where she showed me how to make and roll out dough and then fill it with sautéed spinach and other vegetables to make a delicious Greek spinach pie. We made tzatziki, Greek salad and for dessert, yogurt with two different specialty artisanal honeys. All the while, Marina had interesting tips on Greek cooking and places to find great eats in Athens. A thoroughly great day!
